Mangrove Discovery trip

Indonesian mangroves account for almost 25% of the global area. Take a boat tour from your villa to visit this important carbon-rich ecosystem, now under serious threat. Come with us on this fascinating trip into another world!

Reef Snorkelling

Mangrove Paradise Retreat is located at the best reef snorkelling on Nusa Lembongan. Take a dive boat from beside your villa out to the reef and enjoy viewing this natural wonder, teeming with rainbow colored fish species.

This is truly an experience not to be missed and is suitable for most age groups.

Paddle Boarding

Stand-up paddle boards can be hired at the Retreat. Fun and safe to use in the warm shallow waters, with direct access from your villa and your beach.

Quick & easy and access to the beautiful waters around Lembongan is key to your stay at Mangrove Paradise Retreat. Kayaking is very popular with guests and are readily available for you to book.

Bike Riding

Lembongan is a biker’s paradise, with very little traffic and good road access to all points on the island. Why not hire bikes for the whole family and head out on an island discovery trip?


Experience Lembongan like a local and hire a motorised vehicle to get around. Lembongan is also linked linked to neighbouring  Nusa Ceningan by the Yellow Bridge and this is an ideal way to visit a large area in a short amount of time.


Lembongan is regarded as one of the top dive sites in the world and there are almost 1000 fish species to be seen around the island. Dive trips are available from beginner to advanced level.

Each dive site is unique with the opportunity to encounter Snowflake Morays, Lionfish, Juvenile Spotted Eagle rays & Moray Eels. Shoals of colorful Anthias cover the corals together with Trigger fish, Pufferfish and Stingrays.

Keep a close eye out for the occasional Reef Shark, Barracuda or Giant Trevally passing by. Big Marble Rays are also frequently spotted.

A real treat from May until October is the sighting of a Mola Mola (Sun Fish), the heaviest bony fish in the world, weighing up to 1,000kg and measuring up to 3m in length!

Fishing Trips

Fishing from a boat by trolling or using fishing rods are the best ways to catch ocean fish around Lembongan. You can also try coral fishing.

Fish you can expect to catch: Tuna, Mahi-mahi, Wahoo, Snapper and Leather Jacket Fish.
